Due Diligence – In carrying out their duties, Estate Agents have to follow strict procedures for providing services to their clients in order in order for both the client and the Agent to get value for their money and time respectively.
Professional service – A registered Real Estate Agent has a legal obligation to provide their clients with a professional service in line with the Real Estate Institute’s Code of Conduct and the Rea; Estate Advisory council’ Real Estate Professionals Regulations.
Compliance – Agents have a set of statutory rules and regulations that they follow in order to provide services to the general public in order not to illegally solicit money from the client or defraud them.
Indemnity Insurance – Agents are required by law to have professional indemnity Insurance. This is for situations where a client incurs liability due to an agent’s negligence or omission or service irregularity and therefore the client has a right to claim against that liability.
Value for money – Clients have an obligation not pay for services rendered by the Agent, monies that are more or less than what is prescribed in the Real Estate Professionals Regulations’ schedule of fees.
